How did Boulder Become Bike-Friendly?

Here’s a neat little video from our friends over at Bikes Belong about how Boulder, Co became bike-friendly. Boulder is currently rated Platinum-level in the League of American Bicyclists “Bicycle Friendly Communities” program, but they weren’t always that way. Pittsburgh, and Pittsburghers could learn a lot from Boulder’s bicycle story.
Boulder could probably take a few hints from Pittsburgh when it comes to the musical accompaniment, though.

On a serious note, this is a really useful video on how to make our vision of a bike-friendly Pittsburgh happen. Every community starts somewhere. Boulder happened to start down this road 20 years ago. We started about 5 years ago so we have some catching up to do, but the moral is WE CAN DO IT IF WE ALL WORK TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!
