Ends at OTB Bicycle Bar in the South Side around 9pm. Punk rock and more karaoke from sometime after the ride until everyone goes home.

    SPONSOR NEWS:

We've got some prizes on the way... Bern, Wald, Velocity rims and Ben's Bicycles are all throwing down for this, with some more potentially on the way.

As usual, shirts are in the works.

We have solid ideas of the format and stops, but you're not going to find out where the checkpoints are until night of. The route will be up to each individual to figure out.

It'll be fun and won't be horrendously long. I'd expect the winners to do it in an hour to an hour and a half and everyone to be done within two hours. No way it will stretch longer than that.

Something like that. It'll be worth it, you'll get a t-shirt, a chance at prizes and a karaoke afterparty.

    Dear Erok and Brad,
Make this alleycat fun! After the AMAZING Misfits and Ozzy races of '06 and '07, The Clash race last year was ... way weak. Don't do that format again! Good luck, dudes! Keep the little that's left of the Pittsburgh "alleycat scene" alive!
Lurking from thousands of miles away,
    Jason

Shirts are done! Erok and I screen printed 80-some of them last night.

    And prizes! Yeah.

    - Blacked-out wheelset from Milwaukee Bikes / Ben's Cycles. Black nmsw Deep-Vs, black spokes, black MKE Bikes hub, and topped off with a set of Panracer RIBMO tires.

    - Handpainted purple-ano / yellow Deep-V rim.

    - Wald front wire basket

    - And some other smaller things from MKE Bikes, Urban Velo etc...

    Maybe more on the way?

not really a non-competitive class. just don't worry about competing and have fun. for some people who do these, checkpoints are just an excuse to stop and drink a beer. there is usually a share the wealth style for prizes anyway.

Good time man... Following people who you think know where they are going while being too lazy to actually READ the checkpoint list is sometimes not a good idea LOL...

    Really cool shirts too!!!

    AWESOME PICS ! ! !

Somehow, it's hard to imagine the ("I don't think I'll get those brakes fixed") Ramones strapping on helmets as they biked off to make a connection with ...um... their local pharmaceutical sales agent.
