Benefit for the Big Idea Bookstore: The Downtown La Tour, organized by J. McFadden. Tuesday, January 19, 2010; meet at 6:45 across from The O in Oakland at The Wall, depart at 6:52. Race is Downtown and the South and North Shores, which may or may not be a secret.
$10 entry fee gets you a t-shirt (screened at AIR) and a chance to guess riddles and win prizes. If you don't pay the entry fee, the big idea will never be able to buy a building. Wouldn't you hate to be the one whose ten dollars went to some other cause, like food or beer?
This alleycat is raced in honour of the Schwinn Le Tour, a bicycle whose days were cut short when one of its chainstays was torn from its dropouts due to another rider's error. The Le Tour lives on, through your participation in biking for the sheer enjoyment of it.
