Whoa, sorry to hear about this. I have the same bike, but it's a 2006 and a 49cm. I'll keep my eye out for yours.
It sounds like from the craigslist that you were trying to sell the bike, but he took off with it? How/where did this happen?

Like Rachel said, I too am sorry to hear about your loss. I have a 56cm San Jose from 2006. How/where was it stolen?
Rachel, do you park in the Western Psych cage? I often see a SJ there that appears to be sub-50cm.

if it's the one that was up there for months, the thief was probably just doing his best to get it off craigslist, as cheaply as possible.

For what it's worth, the phone number used by the thief shows up in this list of Pennsylvania pay phones. It says the number belongs to the pay phone outside Mitchell's Tavern, at Centre & Melwood. Maybe the thief lives or works around there?

perhaps a few hundred fliers around mitchell's describing him and the bike to assist?

If someone were to return the severed head of the thief in a box, along with the bike, would that warrant an additional $200 bonus on top of the Big Kahuna?
