Volunteer with Bike Pittsburgh

Volunteers in Bike Pittsburgh Blue staffed the Bicycle Valet Station at the Bob Dylan Concert, Aug ‘08

We need volunteers!

When you volunteer at Bike Pittsburgh you don’t just volunteer, you join a community of individuals passionate about making Pittsburgh one of the world’s bike-friendliest cities. In fact Bike Pittsburgh volunteers are such a dedicated and enthusiastic bunch that the word “volunteer” doesn’t quite cut the mustard. It’s also a great way to meet other local cyclists.

Tell Us About You!

To get started, please fill out this quick survey so that we can add your name to our volunteer database. Filling this out doesn’t mean that you are signing yourself up anything in particular, you’re just adding your name to a pool of potential volunteers. When things come up, look our for a request from us. It’s that simple.

You’ll have lots of opportunity to get involved and even learn new skills. Next to becoming a member, this is the best way to get yourself involved, and the best way for us to utilize all of the connections and skills in the city!

  • Important Note: If you are not a member, please become one today. Many volunteer opportunities involve outreach events where we work to increase our membership rolls, so we need members to talk about us and why they joined. Membership is cheap, comes with great benefits like discounts at participating bike shops, and shows that you made the first commitment to making Pittsburgh a great place to live and to ride.
  • Simply Click here to find out all you need to know about membership.

Or, send an e-mail to info@bike-pgh.org with your name, interests, and specialized skills.

Free Ride Recycle-A-Bike ~ Bicycles are recycled and made available to the public for a low price or free. Based out of Point Breeze, Free Ride! teaches kids and adults how to build and maintain their bikes. They’re always looking for volunteers, good used bikes, and parts.
