As a member, you will receive recognition on our Web site and receive the bike-friendly window decal. Bike Pittsburgh members are very loyal to businesses who support cycling. We will also provide you with Pittsburgh Bike Maps to make available to your employees.
Must be a Bike Pittsburgh member and demonstrate a commitment to being bike-friendly.
As an advocate, your organization actively encourages and supports bicycling to work. You provide facilities and incentive programs, which helps increase the amount of bike commuters we have in the city. If you need help to make it happen Bike Pittsburgh is your resource. We can provide the Commute-by-Bike 101 Workshop to your employees and/or customers depending on your needs. Bike Pittsburgh can also arrange a custom made bike ride in the vicinity of your workplace to review the rules of the road an instill safe riding practices among people who want to give it a try. Bike Pittsburgh can also take a group on a custom-made exploration of the city as an excellent, fun activity for employees, customers, and/or visitors to enjoy Pittsburgh in way vastly different than through the window of a car.
When you are an advocate you become Bike Pittsburgh Verified because you are taking important steps to become a bike-friendly workplace and increase the number and diversity of riders in the city, which is a crucial step to making bicycling a significant part of the city’s mode share. You will be provided with materials stating that you are Verified to post at work and on your website, and you will be on our website as a Verified Bike Pittsburgh member.

As a sponsor, you have the opportunity to get your organization’s message across to tens of thousands of people through Bike Pittsburgh events and publications, while demonstrating a strong commitment to the city you call home. Sponsoring Bike Pittsburgh may very well extend your own mission as an organization by helping provide the capacity for us to accomplish specific goals that reinforce or build upon your own work. This is especially pertinent to organizations in the health care, environmental, urban planning fields. If the benefits of local sustainable economies is a valued by your organization, bicycling plays an important role in this as well. The amount of wealth that leaves our region alone in the form of vehicle purchases and fuel represents billions of dollars.
