RE: Let's See the Bikes!
This is the only picture i have so far. It's my daily, an early 70's(?) bottechia fixed conversion. the bike was chromed under the paint, so i took off all the paint except the head tube. i like the results. i like chrome.

Here's my all rounder. Just changed it back to a 7 speed with a brand new SRAM cassette (12-32). It's a lot speedier.

Me preparing to leave for my ride to DC last year. Go to the flickr link and get descriptions of all the gear. The trip can be read about at this link.
I've also created a flickr group for Bike-Pgh related photos at http://flickr.com/groups/bikepittsburgh/

Erok...I like the results too. That's a sharp looking ride.

repaints are nice. I remember first seeing your chrome bike, Erok, and remarking, hey nice chrome -- you used to have that yellow Bottechia, why'd you ever get rid of it?
Here's my other bike, with more than enough gears, which I hope will not crack or crash anytime soon.

Nate, that is Erok's Yellow Bottechia... just stripped of most of its paint. Note the head tube.
That Riv is one of the nicest bikes in the burgh. True eye candy.

Duh.
Notice that I didn't take a closeup picture of the Rivendell, otherwise you'd see all the scratches on it. If I were a nice owner it also would get a repaint some year soon.

I think Grant would just call those scratches "beausage"
What front rack is that Nate?
I'll have to post up my "Ghettodell" soon. Old Schwinn hybrid frame that has been slowly and unconsciously been morphed into a Rivendell style ride.

I usually commute on this:

Except it has a rear rack now and is covered in blinky lights...

I'd to buy a Bianchi San Jose and Riv it up.

Just two for today:
My Sears Tradesman,

and my Dad's old Raleigh which I fixed, and has since grown fenders, a pletcher rack, and lights for commuting:

That Raleigh is nice! How does it handle? There's a hell of a lot of trail on that.

RE: Let's See the Bikes!
For the Raleigh "Swooping" probably best describes the turning, and "Catapulting" would give you an idea of the gyroscopic momentum it generates. Not the quickest whip out of the blocks, but once I'm up to speed it really hauls. Plus, I'm used to riding tandems and I kind of fancy the "wide swath" approach to riding.
Here's an even longer shot of that wheelbase:

RE: Let's See the Bikes!
I just finished this, intended to be my primary ride, after scalping parts from the bike in my avatar. I haven't gotten it on the road yet... it's possibly the cleanest it'll ever be:
Other pics of this and some of my other bikes are available here

That's the Nitto Technomic for ya. I have one of those on my XO-1. They're good for gettin' upright and saving your back. Speaking of XO-1s, that Trek looks a lot like one.
