WTB/TRADE 6/7/8 speed rear wheel
so i'm building a bike for someone and the wheels/tires i was going to put on it are tubular and i didn't realize it and they are not going to want to deal with it... anyone have an old one laying around? i don't really want to pay that much, will definately trade for the one i have, it has very few miles on it but is pretty old

are you looking for anything? i have an old rear wheel that i took off my raleigh when i made it into a fixed gear. still has the hub and cassette and all that on it, but its a steel wheel. no idea what brand components it is but i can go take a look if you're interested. got anything else to offer other than the wheels? i'm looking for some alloy toe clips... or some other type of bars (dont really want to cut my drops)

RE: WTB/TRADE 6/7/8 speed rear wheel
hey mark... two questions- do you want the wheel with/without the cassette? and do you want the wheel with/without the tube and tire? asking because i don't really have much use for the casette, and also because the current tire is no good.
i actually found an old set of drops in the closet so i'm going to use those to chop and flip, still need some good cages, i'd also be somewhat interested in a fender set for a road bike... and i'm going to be buying some white bar tape in the future, as well as some white bar plugs... if you have any of that. I'm in north oakland (centre/neville) where are you at?

i have black bar tape, cages that are not in great shape but still definately usable, and cassette and tire is preferable... i have some fenders but i think they are not in the sleek road category, sounds like you're building something fancy... i could just give you 10 bucks or something!

funny thing happend actually... my brother's bike (actually one of my bikes that i gave him) that was completely smashed by a car got released yesterday from the police station since their investigation is over and there are only two parts that are usable, the rear deraileur and the rear wheel.
if that works out i won't need it, either way you can have those fenders thoughi'll probably need something new by this weekend anyway.
