well, jake, the race downtown doesn't start till 5pm so you have all morning and early afternoon. we'll have to transport our valet bike racks for the park and ride that day so the following weekend would be better for us at BP, but don't let that keep you from doing it on the 29th.

so, i've been thinking about a group ride to slippery rock to go to the north country brewery. it would involve camping, 60+ mile days, and of course beer. 2 days, self-supported. interest?

Sunday 6/29: Toxic Tour de Neville Island

I am helping Neil organize a ride on Sunday, June 29 from 1-4pm... Jake-- you could wrap yours up by 1pm at Riverview Park then folks could ride off to the Island with us!

We will be posting info about it soon, stay tuned.

Also would any ride leaders be interested in getting together before Bikefest to share ideas about how to have a successful ride? I would like to talk to others about what kind of repair gear to have on hand, what to alert folks to before the ride, etc. Who would be into this?

A get-together is a good idea. One year we had a BBQ at our house. Happy to do it again.

Well hell, we've gotta have the BP crew! Saturday July 5 it is! I think that works out better for me too.
I'm thinkin' a post-lunch 1pm start time. Locations and routes TBD...

Oh and I tend to procrastinate so if you see me riding aimlessly around town, say "Hey Jake! Go to the library and do some research on the hollows!" I've got the PPC's finest park history sleuth on the case though, so hopefully we'll come up with some good tidbits.

I'd definitely be up for a get together/discussion on leading rides. BBQ would be fun!

Awesome, Brian. Thanks for organizing another populaire. They're always a good time (in spite of me wrecking and/or getting lost). The artwork looks great!

I can't help the crashing, but this year's route is much more straightforward, and it will be recce'd by several folks beforehand, so the cue sheet should be spot on.
