BikeFest local food ride
Is anyone interested in a local food ride? We could ride to a farmers market, maybe a local bakery, then have a picnic.
Does Najat's Cuisine have a storefront? I know they have a Braddock address.
Feel free to nominate your favorite farmers market (Wilkinsburg, East Liberty, South Side...) If we do this on a Tuesday or Thursday, we could hit the Growler Hours.

If I may suggest, you can do an excellent tour of local coffee shops as well, all pretty close to each other.
21st C&T, LaPrima, Beleza, The Vault, Affogoto and Amani can all be hit in an hour or so and it's nice riding.

I'd include Quiet Storm for all the vegans/veggies (tho many other shops have veggie fare, QS is pretty hardcore about it). Also I'd include Enrico Biscotti Co. - they have a sweet wood-fired brick oven!

Does LOCAL BEER count as LOCAL FOOD? If so, I know a local brewery that will offer some free sampling for such a ride if you can line it up with Growler Hours... maybe make it the last stop though, okay?

Thanks, Scott!
I'm sure we can plan a route that puts us on Susquehanna Street at just the right time.
I'll be in touch about date & time & such.
