Cheap Bikes in Pgh
I have a few friends looking for bikes but don't really have the time to put in at freeride to build the bikes they need. What are the best places to get used, already functional bikes in town?

Lots of interesting stuff comes across craigslist, but in that case the combination of "used" and "already functional" might be a bit of a gamble. If they go that way, it would probably be good to take somebody with mechanical experience along to check things out before dropping any cash and to follow up with a safety check/tuneup at one of the local bike shops.
They might try a want to buy post in the FS/WTB section of this forum (include frame size). Your odds of getting something in good shape might be higher here.
They could also ask at Free Ride about picking out frames to have built up as "fix for sale" bikes by one of the Free Ride staffers.

Kraynick's sometimes has decent used bikes for a good price. Give them a call or just stop in, but you may want to call before you stop in as they tend to adhere loosely to their hours of operation.
