Please Donate
I know many of you on here are already members of Bike Pittsburgh (big thanks!). Those who are not, please consider donating to our efforts. We are trying to take our membership from 650 to 1000 people in the next year, and we can't do it without you.
Membership is by far our most important source of income. It means that people in the community care about what we're doing, and makes our voice stronger when speaking to elected officials and city department heads.
There are still lots of folks in Pittsburgh who don't think that people ride bikes here. Let's prove them wrong!
$25 is not much, it's less than a case of good beer, and the membership you get is good for an entire year. However, we do offer a $15 membership for those who are on a tight budget. With your membership dollars you are directly supporting our work, as an added benefit you will receive a card that's good for discounts at local shops and our events.
Thanks in advance!

RE: Please Donate
Sure! Subtract your age from the average national life expectancy for your demographic and then multiply that by $25. Then subtract $100 for a little discount. ;)
In all seriousness, we would be willing to discuss a lifetime membership, but we currently do not offer it.

I guess you could also sign up for a lifetime membership with low yearly installments of $25.

RE: Please Donate
By the way, I'm sure most of you have noticed, but we now accept donations via Google Checkout. This is great for us because as a gift to nonprofits Google isn't charging a transaction fee. You donate $25, we get $25. With PayPal, you donate $25, we get $23.97. Every little bit helps.
The reason we're keeping PayPal around is because some people might be more willing to donate using it since it has been around longer and more folks are familiar with it.
