completely unrelated to cycling, but y'all are resourceful folks

i'm trying to find a way to get ahold of 10 55 gallon trash cans/barrels of some sort for a youth project in broddock... it seems like there are some industries that might just throw these out or some place that might be willing to donate... any suggestions?

Check with the port authority. They have to get their fluids for the buses some how and I would think 55 gallons drums would be the most likely.

Check and auto garage for that matter.

I think Dave G got some from Dailey's in Verona/Oakmont last year for the Pirate Bike alleycat.

Yeah, Dailey's is a good choice. I believe there's also a place on Washington Blvd that sells food grade barrels.

You may also want to talk to the owner/manager of the Climbing Wall, above the EEFC in the Factory--they used to use drums like that to secure a portable wall, and I believe they currently just have them in storage. (How do I know this? I used to run the joint.)

Owner is still Elliot Sanft (he also owns the building and Gymkhana), and he is usually there during the day. You could ask for him at the Gymkhana front desk.

Karl Kestner is actually running the Climbing Wall at this point. He is probably there most evenings during the week.

Dailey's is the beverage company that makes Little Hug's along with other high fructose delights.
