Google Petition

I thought others might be interested in signing a petition to Google to include "bike there" directions.

The way something like this is likely to happen is if one of their employees tries to make it in their "20% time", but the real trouble with trying to do something like this would be gathering the data for bikable roads.

I guess a start would be offering an algorithm that avoids freeways and nasty roads.

they actually already have an algorithm built into google maps that is a check box on the left side of the directions called "avoid highways" i use it all the time for long bike trips... so that part is done!
