Looking to get schooled
here's my bike,1999 gary fisher tassajara with manitou front shocks. I want to have some mechanical disk braks put on. Is this possible? I believe the frame has the proper holes needed to mount the brakes. What all will I need for this conversion if it's even possible?Thanks

The deal-breaker will be your hubs--if you don't have disc mounts on the left side of the hubs (six threaded holes), you'll need new wheels (or, at least hubs, and a rebuild, which is probably not worth it).
If you already have V-brakes, and don't ride in lots of muck, truthfully there's little reason to convert to discs.
