making tall bikes (welding)

i have a welder... someone give me (and brian) lessons!

Wot kind o' welder be ye speakin' of, laddy?

I know my way around such things...schedule's stupid-full until late June, but I'm sure a short tutorial could be arranged before then.

a little old craftman arc welder... i don't know much about welding! its on the northside so maybe you can stop by sometime?!

Yeah, I can do that...mebbe next week sometime.

Drop me an email Sunday or Monday, let me know what your schedule looks like. And, if ya can, send me a pic and/or model info of the welder.

free ride does have a welder, but the times i've asked about it there has been hesitence

erok. the welder is at brian's house on the northside, would you come do a tutorial one day?!

also, dan, i have been out of town every weekend till now, but i will be here this weekend, i'll write you an email!

i could prolly do that. i don't know how to use a tig welder very well, only a mig.

it's not that we were hesitant, just busy. and really don't get out there to weld as much as we'd like.

erok, TIG's probably easier than MIG, at least for messing with thin-wall tubes. It's like better-controlled gas welding, if you've ever done any of that sort of thing. Oh, yeah, and you can do aluminum and titanium(!) pretty easily with TIG.

Pity the TIG machines costs so much more. :-( I've been lusting after one for a while...
