saw a fixie with a plastic wheel? in philly? what was it?
hey i saw a girl friding a fixed gear in philly last weekend, she had a bike with a pink, 5 spoked wheel that looked like it could have been plastic? i didn't see it up close so it could have been a painted carbon wheel but i doubt it. anyone know what this wheel was? it was definitely 700c/27 inch sized. thanks in advance (not looking to buy one, just wondering what i saw)

They DO look snazzy n'at. And they are probably more squirrel-resistant than most low-spoke-count wheels...

brian, im so glad you posted THAT info.
Dan, are they aero spokes or trispokes?
Despite the name, aero spokes are NOT aero, in fact they are just mag wheels.

They're aero spokes. I dunno much about such things; when Rob built up the frameset, he threw 'em on 'cause he had a pair floating around.
I can say they're heavy, and don't accelerate real snappily, but they seem to work fine at cruising speed.
